
The GCC Security Media Committee members met in Riyadh on Monday to discuss common security and traffic plans among the six member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Brigadier Adel Al-Hashash, Acting Director of Security Media Department at Kuwait's Interior Ministry, said in a speech at the opening of the meeting they would discuss efforts of security media departments in the GCC countries with the objective of raising security and traffic awareness among citizens. Al-Hashash, who chaired the meeting, said discussions aimed at improving security media departments' performance, boosting "culture of prevention" against drugs, cyber-crimes, extremism and terrorism, while encouraging law-abiding principles through mass communication means and social media networks
