Chiefs and directors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) news agencies on Thursday wound up their two-day 18th meeting held here.
In a final statement, the senior officials congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the recent UN honoring, naming him a "Humanitarian Leader" and Kuwait a "Humanitarian Center".
This honoring comes in recognition of the grand stances of His Highness the Amir and the State of Kuwait on the humanitarian and development levels, and affirms the country's distinguished place on the world level, the statement said.
It also expressed appreciation to the State of Kuwait, represented by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), for hosting the meeting, praying for more stability and prosperity for Kuwait under its wise leadership.
The GCC news agencies officials also congratulated King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud on Saudi Arabia's 84th National Day, and Oman's Sultan Qaboos bin Said after the good results of his recent medical examinations.
