The Russian Foreign Ministry is regularly sending media reports on the situation in Ukraine to the US State Department, the ministry’s deputy spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.
“We send information to the US State Department or share it at the talks when we gather enough material on certain topics,” she told the Russian News Service.
Until recently the West kept silent about the humanitarian situation in south-eastern Ukraine, Zakharova said.
“We provide information based on eyewitness and media reports,” she said.
“Every time we are told that the information would be studied thoroughly. We hope that’s the way it is,” she added.
