
Measures for securing reporters have been agreed upon during a meeting with chief editors in the Syndicate of Journalists, the head of the syndicate said. In a statement to MENA, Diaa Rashwan said Wednesday that the meeting gathered more that 45 editors-in chief, adding that they agreed upon some measures including the restriction the field coverage to reporters who are members of the syndicate. In addition, the newspapers are asked to send lists of their reporters who will cover events and their assigned places to the syndicate, which will inform the Interior Ministry's operation room, assigned for protecting journalists, Rashwan said. The operation room will assign an officer to warn the reporters in case of looming risk, he added
