Egyptian Ministry updates foreign reporters with efforts against terror

Foreign Ministry's spokesman Badr Abdel Aati held Tuesday a meeting with representatives of media and foreign correspondents to brief them on efforts of fighting terrorism.
The meeting came as resumption to a similar meeting held on Monday by Abdel Ati and Chairman of State Information Service (SIS) Salah Abdel Sadiq in Cairo to brief correspondents and media men on the latest developments in the wake of the terror attack that left 21 Egyptians dead in Libya.
Foreign correspondents and representatives of news agencies and satellite channels were briefed on diplomatic and political endeavors led by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in New York, and Washington.
Shoukry held meetings with UN Secretary-General and members of UNSC to urge the international community to assume its responsibility for ensuring international peace and security and keep an eye on the deteriorating conditions in Libya, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The foreign ministry is contacting all states to brief them on the developments in the situation in the wake of the crime against the Egyptian nationals in Libya.
The international community has to shoulder its responsibility and take a decisive action against the terror organizations that adopt extremist ideologies, said the foreign ministry spokesman, adding that leaving such groups unpunished would bring international peace to a turning point.
