
A number of journalists and intellectualsstressed the importance of the Asian Media Summit to be hosted by the Kingdomunder the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah binAbdulaziz Al Saud. The event will be opened by the Minister of Culture andInformation Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja tomorrow.In statements to Saudi Press Agency, they said that the workshops endorsed by thesummit will help to develop new frameworks in the field of media especially in thepresent era as technical means and dealing by the audience with the so-called "newmedia" are evolving.Those who spoke on the occasion included Kuwaiti TV official Yosif Mostafa Abdullah, Saudi media official Waleed bin Ghazi Bafiqih, Lebanese media officialHasan Falhah and Cambodian media official Fos Safon.
