
Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) has today honoured veteran journalist Mohammed Bakheet. A BJA delegation led by Chairman Moaness Al-Murdi visited Mr. Bakheet and presented him with a shield as well as the honorary membership. BJA board member and head of the training committee Osama Mohammed Al-Majid and executive director Fawaz Ahmed Suleiman were also present. The honoree worked for Bahraini daily newspaper Akhbar Al-Khaleej for up to 35 years as a journalist and columnist. Mr. Al-Murdi paid tribute to the veteran journalist for his dedication in serving Bahraini fledgling press. He announced plans to continue honouring Bahraini press pioneers in recognition of their dedication and as part of efforts to reveal their lifetime achievements for the posterity.
