The Supreme Judiciary Council said it stood aloof from media arguments in order not to act as a litigant and an arbitrator simultaneously.
The Council emphasised that it would not hesitate to take the necessary action whenever a speech or act violated applicable laws or affected the judicial authority and all of its members as they perform their mission of spreading justice and serenity within the Bahraini community.
The Supreme Judiciary Council in its statement said that it has followed news published in some media recently which affected the judicial authority and which are deemed as irresponsible acts and blatant assault on its integrity and independence and affected its values and principles as well as its members who have been performing their mission in serving justice and upholding the rule of law.
The statement said that emanating from the position ensured by the National Action Charter and the Constitution to the judicial authority as the authority which administers justice and fairness in case of disputes arising between individuals and prevents any breach of the law tantamount of a crime against the community in order to preserve the public interest.
The statement pointed out that the Bahraini judiciary throughout its long history has always been honest, impartial and independent and that these are some of the most important noble values of the Bahraini judicial system in addition to being one of the basic pillars for Stat stability and preservation of the rights of the community. Therefore, members of the judicial authority have always been honest in performing their duty towards God and the homeland. They had been sworn-in for this purpose including the interest of citizens.
