
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Al-Safriya Palace today journalist and media figure Sawsan Al-Shaer, who presented him with a copy of her book entitled "The Last Word".
HM the King praised the efforts exerted by the author in compiling her valuable book in which she shed light on an important phase of the kingdom's modern history and the Bahraini people's cohesion and rallying together behind the leadership and commitment to Arab identity.
HM the King lauded the author's contributions in the press and media fields, praising her focus on serving the nation and consolidating national unity in her media programmes and press articles.
HM King Hamad affirmed the crucial role played by the press and media personnel in defending the kingdom and highlighting reality, praising their patriotism.
Sawsan Al-Shaer expressed utmost thanks and appreciation to HM the King for his constant support to the press and media personnel in order to be enable them to assume their role in enlightening the public and serving the kingdom's progress and prosperity march.
She said that the proceeds of her book will be donated to the Fund to Support the Families of the Martyrs of Duty in recognition of their sacrifices for the sake of the kingdom's security and stability.
