A key forum spotlighting the image of woman in Western media will open tomorrow (May13) at Kempinski Hotel. The German Embassy in Manama is organizing the event in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Women. The three-day symposium is being backed by The German Foreign Ministry and The Deutsche Welle Academy as part of efforts to improve the image of woman in the media and promote her status as a partner on par with man in building a competitive and sustained society. SCW secretary-general Hala Al-Ansari welcomed the media forum, which reflects Germany’s keen interest in promoting the image of Arab woman in mass media.
