Administrative employees, executives, journalists and technicians celebrated Sunday the 52nd anniversary of the national news agency Algerie Press Service (APS) at its central office in Algiers. Gathered around the general manager, news director, editors in chief and senior administrative and technical executives, the workers got together to assess the agency’s achievements and particularly the next decisive stages in the light of the new challenge posed by the technological trends of communication and information which have already reached the end of the beginning of the digital era. To adapt to such requirements and to launch new digital products (web tv, computer graphics, radio, video, ..) in order to meet the growing needs of the users, are among the major concerns of the agency’s officials. The main goal of the agency since its creation is to make the voice of the combatant Algeria heard around the world, and to highlight and support the economic and social development of the country after the independence through media coverage. Today, the agency, which was created on 1 December 1961 in Tunis, has invested a lot in the technological development, and is committed to providing its customers and even the general public, through its website, with a reliable and credible product.
