An Anadolu Agency crew has arrived at the wreckage site of the Syrian helicopter which was shot down by Turkish fighter jets after it violated Turkish airspace on Monday. The helicopter wreckage fell into Obin village of the Syrian city of Idlib, causing a fire in the mountainous terrain where it fell. In addition, scrap collectors were seen in the region placing the helicopter remains into trucks. A resident of Obin village, Ebu Mehmet Mustafa, told AA that the Syrian helicopter flew around the region for a while and violated Turkish airspace. He added, "The wreckage fell into an area which is close to our village. We saw two pilots ejecting themselves before the helicopter crashed. Some of villagers ran to the area, but could not find anything. We do not know anything about the pilots."
