
Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussain, President of the Federation of the Arab News Agencies (FANA) and President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), chaired here today at Ritz Carlton Hotel first session of the 41st conference of the Federation of the Arab News Agencies (FANA). The session highlighted reports and activities made by the federation during the recent period and the aspirations of the member countries for the Kingdom's success in hosting the Fourth News Agencies World Congress (IV-NAWC) to be held here tomorrow. The session also discussed programs and activities of the coming period as well as the Arab cooperation with regional and international agencies, and training the human cadres in addition to developing performance of the Arab news agencies to cope with the modern media developments and information technology. The participants also highlighted a number of conferences and participations at Arab, regional and international levels. Following the session, the FANA and SPA President was handed over a memorial shield from Lora Suleiman, Director of the Lebanese National News Agency, due to his efforts in the FANA activities. The 41st FANA conference will continue its activates tomorrow to discuss topics on its agenda.
