Akram Hosni, an Egyptian stand-up comedian know on-stage as Sayed Abo Hafiza, said he was looking for diversity, when he created his new character Sayed Hodhod. The character of Hodhod, is a humorous satirical critique of Egypt’s political system, and mocks previous and current leaders. Hosni said, “Presenting a new character doesn’t at all mean the death of the character of Sayed Abu Hafiza, actually I will be back to it soon through a new show.” Akram Hosni had big success through the character of Sayeb Abo Hafiza for many years, through the programme, ‘Nashrat 25’.
