Raikkonen Joins Kim Dotcom in Mercedes

The Iceman stars in a production of three cars around the Nurburgring.Formula 1 drivers aren't cheap to employ, and Kimi Raikkonen is regarded as one of the most expensive of them all, earning $20m per season while driving for Ferrari.Last year, while on a sabbatical from F1 and during his unsuccessful endeavors in rallying, the Iceman took part in the filming of Mercedes Benz cars negotiating the Nurburgring; and it wasn't the Nurburgring's familiar new section, but the formidable Nord Schleife where over 170 bends, turns and hairpins have claimed the lives of more than 200 drivers.100 cameras, two helicopters and a huge crew took part in the production whose added value is that intimate knowledge of the famous racetrack can be gleaned from the video. It is the Nurburgring in all its glory: green trees, colorful asphalt and winding stretches uphill and down, red and white curb stones, great visuals from above and the beautiful landscape of the Eifel mountains and the Burg itself.The driving isn't the point of this video, and one can assume that the Iceman did it for nothing (probably hiding it from his management company) with sunglasses, so no one can identify him and the semi-smile on his face.Raikkonen joined Kim Dotcom, of Megaupload fame, driving in a threesome (the third driver was Finn Batato) around the Green Hell in an HD production of what can be described as the Ballet of the Nurburgring.As per Kim's involvement, the event took place last year when he took some of his cars over to Europe. Pictures were found shortly after Kim was incarcerated and all vehicles, around thirty cars and motorcycles, have now been impounded by the New Zealand Authorities. His collection included two Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM with the number plates 'GOOD' and 'EVIL,' a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drop Head Coupe with 'GOD' number plate, a Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG with 'GUILTY' and a Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG with a 'HACKER' plate.
