It’s official. Jaguar is now working on an even hotter XF saloon, and the proof is these spy shots sent to us depicting the hard-core cat tearing up some B-roads in England. Dubbed the Jaguar XFR-S, the model will appear in its full growling glory at the Los Angeles Auto Show at the end of this coming November. It’s unlikely that the British carmaker will also bring along its upcoming V6-engined F-Type roadster along to California, but the show will additionally feature around 40 other model debuts, including 20 world premieres. Although the flagship of the XF saloon range will feature the same 5.0-litre supercharged engine found in the current fastest model of the line-up, the XFR, in the XFR-S the powerplant should develop up to 550bhp. Currently, the poor 510bhp XFR is outgunned by all its rivals, including the 560bhp BMW M5 and the 557bhp Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. The rest of the changes appear to be aerodynamics-enhancing, with a new front splitter and a bigger fixed wing at the back. There are also new black air intakes and grille, bigger brakes, and larger exhaust pipes. From gulfnews
