The Indonesian government has prepared a regulation for the sales of low cost green cars (LCGC), which is expected to be sold by 150,000 annually, a minister said here Thursday. Indonesian Industry Minister MS Hidayat said that the draft of the rule would be submitted to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono this week. "Discussion over the regulation have been done, and it is planned that the draft would be delivered to the president at the first week of January next year," Hidayat was quoted by Kompas online as saying. President Yudhoyono has given his full support for the manufacturing of the eco-friendly vehicles as he has pledged to trim carbon emission production by 26 percent by 2020 and expand it to 41 percent by the year under the international assistance. Minister Hidayat expected the regulation could boost the market of national vehicles.
