Cairo - MENA

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met Tuesday with UAE investor Hussein Jassem al-Nuwais, who offered to implement a big power plant in Egypt in three phases.
The plant is expected to secure 3,960 megawatts of electricity and is estimated to cost about 7.5 billion dollars.
'We know we have many challenges but we depend on Allah and then on our insisting people and the support of our Arab brethren,' Mahlab said during the meeting, stressing that 'we have a joint fate' and that Cairo will never forget Arab support.
Big investment opportunities are up for grabs for all in this stage, the premier said.
Nuwais promised Mahlab to use his international ties to bring international investors to Egypt.
He said he is enthusiastic about the power plant project, whose first phase is estimated to cost 2.5 billion dollars.
