Ankara - Anadolu
Turkey's Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz announced on Wednesday that they decided to stop working with an Italian energy firm ENI including to suspend their projects in Turkey due to ENI's operations in conflicted waters with Greek Cypriot side which was against international laws. Yildiz replied the questions of reporters prior to a meeting held by Turkey Wind Energy Association (TWEA) in Ankara. Turkish minister underlined that despite all warnings, ENI firm continued its operations to search oil and natural gas in the international waters in the Mediterranean with Greek Cypriot administration and that was why they decided not to continue working with the firm. "Including the suspension of their projects in Turkey, we decided not to continue working with ENI," said Yildiz. Upon a question about Israel's apology to Turkey and its reflections on energy sector, Yildiz made clear, "this is a political topic and it is not related to the energy sector directly."
