Taner Yildiz Denied
Istanbul - KUNA

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz Denied Sunday buying crude oil from The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), pointing out that Turkey is a state of law.
He also confirmed in a meeting with the justice and development party held in Kaysreri that Iraq is the largest supplier of crude oil among 12 countries turkey exports from.
He strongly denied that Turkey's oil refineries processed crude oil coming from ISIL, saying these allegations aimed at tarnishing the Department of Energy and the image of the ruling party.
UN Security Council (UNSC) imposed sanctions against ISIL and Al-Nusra Front in the middle of August aimed at addresing financing resources of the two terrorist groups. The sanctions, imposed under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, ban purchase of oil from the two groups as well as imposing sanctions on companies dealing with them.
