Power shortage expected to reach 50 MW Friday in Egypt

The expected shortage between electricity production and consumption will reach 50 megawatts on Friday, said the electricity observatory at the Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency.
Reducing of power loads reached 1400 megawatts on Thursday, the observatory said.
The expected maximum power load on Friday is 21,450 megawatts, the observatory added.
Egypt is trying to reduce the consumption of electricity as many people complained last summer about daily power cuts.
