Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has decided to give new tasks to Deputy Electricity Minister.
The tasks included following up and supervising the private sector projects of new and renewable energy along with raising the efficiency of power generation stations, according to a statement issued by the Cabinet on Thursday.
The statement further said that the tasks would include following up maintenance programs and projects of renewable stations.
The decision also said that the deputy minister would take up the minister's tasks in case of his absence.
The tasks also included putting the ministry's strategy of energy in the future and supervising the energy saving system in Egypt.
