Jordanian Energy Minister Mohamed Hamed
The Dead Sea - MENA

Jordan is going forward with its peaceful nuclear program aimed at producing electricity and at the same time rejects all forms of nuclear tests, Jordanian Energy Minister Mohamed Hamed said.
The Jordanian peaceful nuclear program is still under study, Hamed told MENA on the sidelines of a ceremony held to launch the Integrated Field Exercise (IFE14) of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) here.
The IFE14 is a field exercise to simulate an almost entire on-site inspection in Jordan from 3 November to 9 December 2014 organized by the Preparatory Commission for the CTBTO. During IFE14 the inspection team will conduct a meticulous search of a clearly defined inspection area to establish whether or not a nuclear explosion has been conducted. The exercise will be in response to a technically realistic and stimulating but fictional scenario.
