
The Mansheya Charity Association in the Southern Mazar district has started to implement the home-solar-energy project, funded by the Ministry of Social Development. The head of the Association, Mubarak Tarawneh, told Petra on Saturday that the project will provide loans without charging any interest to citizens for installing solar water heaters in their homes in order to rationalize the consumption of electricity and bring down their power bills. He added that the project has already funded 17 water heaters with financial loans ranging between JD450 and JD506. A mechanism for repaying the loans has been put in place to commensurate in tune with the monthly income of the citizens.
