
Nepal received the first batch of Chinese fuel grant Saturday night.
"The three tankers of the Nepal Oil Corporation brought 9,000 liters of petrol each," Deputy Superintendent of the Nepal Police Abdesh Bista told Xinhua.
Spokesperson Deepak Baral of the company has informed that of China's 1,000 metric tons of petrol grant, Nepal will collect remaining fuel within a week.
"The Nepalese government plans to purchase one third of its total demand for petroleum products from China in the coming days," Mahesh Maskey, the country's ambassador to China, told Xinhua Saturday evening.
"We will soon finalize the technical modalities," he said.
