Egyptian rules set for using coal in cement industries, power stations

The prime minister has approved a set of conditions for the use of coal and petroleum coke in cement industries and electricity generation stations, Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy said.
The set conditions were published in the official gazette as part of amendments of the executive regulation of the environment law, the minister told MENA.
The rules address the annual quantity of used coal and its storage conditions, Fahmy said.
