A butane gas crisis has deteriorated in Qalioubia as the price of the cylinder rocketed high.
Residents awaited on Saturday in long queues to obtain cylinders amid severe cold weather.
In one township, Al-Qanater Al-Khayriyah, villagers seized a passing truck loaded with butane gas cylinders to catch ones.
Supply undersecretary in the province Gamal el Sayyed said strict measures have been taken to end the crisis.
