
Energy Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza yesterday received new Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain, Kiyoshi Asako.
Welcoming Mr. Asako, Dr. Mirza praised the deep-rooted relations between the two countries, especially in the fields of energy.
He spoke of the Japanese experience in the area and highlighted the projects being implemented in the oil and gas as well as the electricity and water sector in Bahrain in co-operation with Japanese companies.
He also listed the achievements since the visit of His Majesty King Hamad to Japan in 2012.
Mr. Asako thanked Dr. Mirza for the welcome and hospitality and said Japan is always ready to strengthen the existing co-operation in the energy sector between the two countries.
