Albanian hydropower declines dramatically in H1

Hydropower stations of Albania generated energy at a quantity of 2,353 GWh in the first half of this year, a drop of 46.9 percent comparing with the same period in 2013, reported Albanian Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) on Tuesday.
INSTAT said the energy produced, imported and exported stood at 4,022 GWh.
In the face of inadequacy of domestic energy production to meet the consumption needs, gross import in the first half amounted to 1,786 GWh.
