Two electricity pylons were destroyed Thursday after being hit by bombings in Assiut governorate, Board Chairman of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) Ahmed el Hanafy said.
"In Alexandria and West Delta, there were attempts to destroy four other pylons, but none of them succeeded," Hanafy said.
He added that no power cuts were reported in any of the targeted governorates.
Hanafy urged people to report any sabotage acts against electricity pylons.
