UN biodiversity meeting to open Monday in South Korea

A U.N. environmental convention on biodiversity will meet this week in South Korea, organizers said Sunday.
The 12th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, dubbed COP 12, will be held Monday at Alpensia Resort in PyeongChang, some 180 kilometers southeast of Seoul, with about 20,000 representatives from 194 countries in attendance, the Ministry of Environment said.
