Minister Khaled fahmi
Cairo - MENA

Minister of Environment Khaled Fahmy met here on Tuesday with visiting Cypriot Minister of Agriculture Nicos Kouyialis.

The meeting is meant to activate an Egyptian-Cypriot memorandum of understanding that was signed in 2006 on joint cooperation.

The meeting is also meant to follow up the outcome of a tripartite summit that was held last month in Greece grouping the leaders of the three countries.

The Cypriot minister called for enhancing joint cooperation in the domain of maritime ecological protection in the Mediterranean along with minimizing greenhouse gas emissions.
