Up on the tenth This 10th-floor jazz bar has beautiful views of the Creek, a Manhattan feel and it specialises in fizzy cocktails: our favourite! There’s a jazz band every day except Friday, as well as lots of snacking potential. Or you can always pop to one of the hotel’s restaurants post-tipple. The perfect place to go if you’re in more of a flip flops than a high heels mood. Definitely try the menu of grills, but do be moderate with the shisha – it’s pretty strong stuff! The DUbliners Location Boutique 7 Hotel, Tecom Timing 12pm-2am, daily Tel 04 434 5555 The Dubaliners This St Patrick’s Day-appropriate spot is one of the nicest, most understated pubs in Dubai. We love their current Friday deal, where for Dh75 you get three regular beverages and one menu item to be enjoyed to the strains of the acoustic tunes courtesy of the in-house singer, Emmanuel. A chilled night out. Location Le Méridien Dubai, Garhoud Timing 12pm-2.45am daily Tel 04 702 2455 360° This Burj-side bar is out on the end of a jetty and is a definite must-take-visitors-to spot. While the partying ramps up on Thursdays and Fridays, we love visiting on weekdays when it’s quieter. Sitting on one of their white couches while sipping on a cocktail (wrapped in a hefty pashmina, as the sea air gets mighty cold) is one of our definitive Dubai experiences. Oh, and order the truffle french fries. Amazing. Location Jumeirah Beach Hotel Timing 5pm-2am daily (3am on Fridays). Tel 04 406 8999 Embassy This art-deco-themed supper club has something for everyone. Why? Well, because it’s laid out over fantastic three floors. We particularly like the lounging middle floor, which is full of many super stylish nooks and crannies, and even has an amazing oyster and seafood bar.
