Archipelago International has continued its expansion of hotel and conference facilities in Indonesia, with the launch of a new MICE hotel in Bali.
Set on a hilltop above Jimbaran, the Aston Ungasan Hotel & Convention Center offers 268 rooms plus eight meeting rooms, a wedding chapel and a ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,750 people.
The upscale hotel also offers a range of leisure facilities, including several swimming pools, a restaurant, bar, spa and gymnasium.
“We conceptualised this hotel to compete with the rather expensive hotels around the Nusa Dua Convention Center to offer a… more reasonably priced alternative for professional MICE organisers,” explained Norbert Vas, Archipelago’s vice president of sales & marketing.
“We also outfitted the hotel with beautiful rooms, most of which have private balconies, and enough leisure facilities to please not only conference delegates but also the most demanding leisure travellers.
“We are confident that the Aston Ungasan will be a new icon for Bali and be quickly recognised as one of the islands leading MICE destinations and a family-friendly resort,” he added.
Through its Aston brand, Archipelago is developing combined hotel and conference centres across Indonesia. Other joint projects have already launched in destinations including Jakarta, Semarang, Kupang, Timika, Cirebon, Makassar, Jambi and Palembang. All Aston properties also offer free Wi-Fi.
