Split-front gowns were all the rage London – Caroline Kent Beirut’s best were out in force to dress the hottest celebs on the red carpet this week. It will be no surprise to most of you that the big hits and best-dressed chart-toppers at the Golden Globes were from the world’s other capital of couture, Beirut. There was Glee’s Lea Michele looking utterly heavenly in a slinky white gown with split front from Elie Saab. Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr had also clearly graduated from the Angelina Jolie School of Posing, revealing yards of thigh thrust from her split skirt Zuhair Murad burgundy chiffon gown. Jennifer Lopez also went for Murad, in a similarly striking and saucy white lace number that showed off the Latino star’s curves to mega-watt effect. Isla Fisher’s Reem Acra number didn’t get rave reviews, but the star has often been a slow-burn on the style front. Do you think the look was pale and interesting, or just a tad plain?
