The 31-year-old reality star covered up her famous curves in a high necked floor length green velvet gown with white lace sequinned belt and shoulder panels. With her hair piled on top of her head, Kim teamed smoky eye make-up and pale lipstick with her old-Hollywood style dress, with just a diamond bracelet in the way of jewellery. The long gown featured a teasing back slit in her gown as she joined her mother Kris Jenner to pose on the red carpet in Washington DC. Her mother opted for a rather ill fitting red one-shouldered dress and dangling diamond earrings, with her short dark hair teased into a spiky style. Kim seemed very excited to be attending the star-studded event, which is held to honour the best of political journalism, with many of the invited news organisations inviting celebrities to take available seats at their tables. 'Just landed in DC heading to the White House Correspondents’ dinner tonight with @KrisJenner! Very exciting!' Kim tweeted earlier. They were the victims of a few jokes, even at the hands of President Obama himself, who wisecracked about their fame in an opening monologue. The president lampooned himself in the monologue, asking who the Kardashians are, and why exactly they're famous.
