In anticipation of the nationwide release of Ghostbusters
New York - Arab Today

In anticipation of the nationwide release of Ghostbusters, one of the most highly anticipated movies of the summer, Sony Pictures Consumer Marketing is collaborating with Nas, the Hip-Hop icon, and entrepreneur, for Nas x Ghostbusters, a new Ghostbusters fashion collection.  Inspired by the classic film, Nas, one of the world’s biggest Ghostbusters fans, has curated the collection, with high-profile and upscale brands including HSTRY, New Era, Monster, Italia Independent Eyewear, Tokyobike, and FILA.

“There’s no bigger Ghostbusters fan than Nas – he grew up with the franchise – and, along with these iconic partners, they’ve done a great job interpreting the characters and movies into these amazing, fashion-forward products.  The collaboration was not only a natural fit between these brands, but an opportunity to add a modern, high-end twist to Ghostbusters,” said Mark Caplan, Senior Vice President, Global Consumer Products for Sony Pictures Entertainment. Nas adds, “Ghostbusters was a staple childhood movie for me, one my mother took me to see, and I still love watching today with my son.”

Nas, a long-time fan of the brand, handpicked FILA to be a part of the capsule. Fans will have the option to pick from a variety of classic Heritage styles in the FILA x Ghostbuster's collaboration. The shoe styles include the FX-100, T-1 Mid and Original Fitness silhouettes, providing consumers with a choice of a high, mid, and low top.

The FX-100 features a premium cream suede upper atop a black midsole and outsole with white speckled detailing. The iconic strap is dressed in tumbled leather with FILA Logo detailing, which also appears on the tongue and quarter above the flag. Other collaboration details include the classic Ghostbusters "Ghost" logo, which appears on the footbed and Nas' highly recognizable "N" logo on the back tab. In the mid-cut selection, FILA put a clean spin on the T-1 Mid, which is dressed in black premium suede upper with a rich leather sock liner. The pair sits atop a completely glow-in-the-dark midsole/outsole. Branded detailing appears on the tongue, quarter, midsole and custom back tab. Just below the tongue stacked logo is a custom ghost trap flag to go along with the "Ghost" footbed. The final shoe in the collaboration pack is the Original Fitness which comes in a cream canvas and premium suede upper, mounted on a black midsole/outsole. Much in the same fashion as the first two pairs, the Original Fitness features a custom branded back tab and Ghostbuster's logo on the footbed. Each shoe will be released in custom packaging featuring collaboration detailing reflecting the Ghostbusters branding.

Consumers and fans will be able to score these styles from a number of different retailers and locations. Ron Herman (Los Angeles), Foot Locker (New York - 11 W. 34th Street), Colette Boutique (Paris), www.colette.fr., Hypebeast.com, and FILA.com on June 17th. Retail for these styles is as follows: FX-100 $100, T-1 Mid $90, and Original Fitness $85.00.
