World Bank sees weaker 2016 growth in global economy

The World Bank lowered Wednesday its growth forecast for the global economy this year, citing slowdowns in emerging-market economies that had been strong drivers of expansion.
Global growth is now projected at 2.9 percent in 2016, a drop of 0.4 point from June forecasts, the development lender said in a twice-yearly report.
