US stocks fell sharply Friday in the wake of the Federal Reserve's decision against raising interest rates because of worries about slowing global economic growth.
At the closing bell, the Dow Jones industrial Average was down 1.75 percent, the broad-based S&P 500 1.62 percent and the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index 1.36 percent.
