US stocks rebound on tech rally, S&P +1.8%

US shares put on a solid rally Wednesday, with investors piling back into blue chips and especially tech stocks as a Federal Reserve report depicted steady US economic growth.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 both finished up 1.83 percent, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite gained 2.46 percent, led by a 4.3 percent surge in Apple shares.
