US stocks jump 2.4%, joining global rally

US stocks jumped about 2.4 percent Friday, joining a global rally after surprise stimulus by the Bank of Japan raised confidence of further central bank moves to boost growth.
At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 were both up 2.47 percent, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index was up 2.38 percent.
