US stocks rose sharply Wednesday, snapping a six-day losing streak prompted by a big pullback in Chinese equities that has roiled global markets.
At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 3.96 percent. The broad-based S&P 500 gained 3.91 percent, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index bolted 4.24 percent higher.
