UK regulator fines Deutsche Bank $340m over Libor

Britain's Financial Conduct Authority said Thursday it had fined Deutsche Bank $340 million for misconduct over the Libor interest-rate rigging scandal.
"The fine is so large because Deutsche Bank also misled the regulator, which could have hampered its investigation," the FCA said in a statement, adding that it was a record penalty handed down in Britain for such an offence.
