Spain overshoots public deficit target for 2015

Spain posted a public deficit of 5.16 percent of economic output in 2015, Budget Minister Cristobal Montoro said Thursday, the eighth consecutive year the country has overshot its fiscal target.
The government had estimated that the public deficit would fall to 4.2 percent last year from 5.8 percent in 2014.
