Milan stocks up over 3.0%, bank shares lead rise

The Milan stock market gained over 3.0 percent on Monday in afternoon trading, with bank shares leading the rise. The FTSE-MIB was up 3.04 percent at 17,424 points, with Banco Popolare, Unicredit and Uni Banca all posting strong gains, as well as telecoms giant Telecom Italia and oil and gas industry contractor Saipem. |
