Leading stocks slumped by more than five percent in Milan on Monday as a Europe-wide sell-off gathered momentum in reaction to fears over China's growth outlook.
In mid-afternoon trading the benchmark FTSE Mib index was down 5.31 % at 20,950 points, its lowest level since February 11.
