Japanese consumer prices fall for first time since 2013

Japanese consumer prices fell 0.1 percent in August year-on-year, official data showed Friday, fuelling speculation that the central bank may unleash a fresh round of stimulus measures.
The fall in core inflation, which excludes volatile fresh food prices, was the first since April 2013, the internal affairs ministry said.
