IMF approves $1 billion in Ukraine aid after long delay

The International Monetary Fund on Wednesday said it had resumed its bailout of war-torn Ukraine, approving the disbursement of $1 billion from an aid package that was held up since August 2015. The IMF said Wednesday its Executive Board, which represents 189 countries, had met and approved the resumption. The lending is intended to support Kiev's economic recovery program. |
