Hong Kong equities plunged 5.84 percent to a seven-month low Wednesday in line with a precipitous fall in Chinese markets.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index sank 1,458.75 points to 23,516.56 -- its lowest close since the start of January -- on turnover of HK$235.97 billion (US$30.45 billion).
