A surge in energy firms helped Hong Kong stocks rally more than three percent by the end of trade Wednesday, in line with an Asia-wide advance.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index soared 3.13 percent, or 682.42 points, to 22,514.04.
Stock markets in mainland China were closed for a public holiday.
